Warranty Policy

Last updated · April 6, 2026

This policy describes coverage for Hybrid Matters installed battery services. It summarizes our warranty structure; the invoice, warranty card, and service documents for a specific job control if there is any conflict. For refunds and cancellations, see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Available warranty tiers

  • 3 month. Entry coverage for budget-focused drivers.
  • 6 month. Balanced protection for daily commuters.
  • 1 year. Maximum peace of mind we offer on installs.

What the warranty covers

Subject to the written warranty documents for the specific job, our warranty generally covers defects in the battery pack or covered installed modules that occur during the stated warranty period under normal use and proper vehicle operation.

Exclusive remedy

If a valid covered warranty issue is confirmed, the customer's exclusive remedy is limited to the remedy described in the applicable written warranty, which may include inspection, repair, replacement, or credit at Hybrid Matters' option. Except where required by law, a warranty claim does not entitle the customer to a refund after installation has been completed.

What the warranty does not cover

  • Unrelated vehicle faults, including inverter, engine, fuse, sensor, software, or 12V battery issues.
  • Collision damage, flood damage, fire damage, theft, vandalism, severe contamination, or other external events.
  • Tampering, opening the battery case, unauthorized service, or modifications by another shop or individual.
  • Operation with known cooling system faults, blocked cooling paths, or other ignored vehicle issues that can damage the battery.
  • Normal wear, cosmetic conditions, noises, or issues outside the stated covered battery components.
  • Towing, roadside incidents, loss of use, rental cars, missed work, lost wages, emotional distress, or other incidental or consequential damages, except where non-waivable law requires otherwise.

Warranty eligibility conditions

  • The warranty applies only to the original customer named on the invoice unless we expressly state otherwise in writing.
  • The customer must follow claim instructions and provide access for inspection.
  • The vehicle must remain within the supported service footprint or otherwise be made reasonably available for claim evaluation.
  • We may require diagnostic codes, service records, photographs, videos, or an on-site inspection before approving warranty work.

How to start a warranty claim

  1. Contact Hybrid Matters as soon as symptoms appear.
  2. Provide your invoice details, vehicle year/make/model, symptoms, and any visible warning codes.
  3. Do not allow another party to open, modify, or attempt internal battery repairs before we inspect the issue.
  4. Follow the inspection or scheduling instructions provided by our team.

Important limitations

A warranty does not guarantee uninterrupted vehicle performance, and it does not guarantee that unrelated pre-existing or future vehicle issues will not occur. If a vehicle stops on the road, develops unrelated faults, or suffers damage from causes outside our covered battery work, those events are not converted into a refund right or a broader damage claim merely because the vehicle has a battery under warranty.
