Only batteries that pass inspection and are formally accepted qualify for same-day payout. We can reject unsafe or non-OEM packs.
Are there any catches?
We pay for the right to harvest your old battery for core modules that can be reconditioned. There are a few rules to protect our team:
- No missing parts. Ensure the casing, busbars, and computer modules are still attached. Don't tear it apart yourself; high voltage is serious.
- OEM only. We only consider original OEM Toyota/Panasonic module packs. Aftermarket, generic cylindrical, gutted, or rebuilt packs can be refused.
- No acceptance before inspection. Photos, texts, or verbal descriptions do not mean we accepted the battery. Final acceptance happens only after our team physically inspects it.
- Hazard disclosure required. If the battery has smoked, caught fire, exploded, leaked, swelled, overheated, or been flood/impact damaged, you must tell us before pickup or drop-off.
- Seller responsibility before acceptance. Until we inspect and accept the battery, you remain responsible for safe storage, transport, and any damage caused by that battery.
- Local to Phoenix. You have to be located in our Phoenix Metro service area so our drivers can reach you.
Safety warning
High-voltage hybrid batteries can become dangerous without warning. A damaged or unstable pack may smoke, arc, leak, catch fire, or in rare cases explode. If you suspect the pack is unsafe, keep away from it and call us before moving it.
